Jacob spoke first.
“I want to know if my hair is just like yours,” he told Mr. Obama, but so quietly that the president asked him to speak again.
Jacob did, and Mr. Obama replied, “Why don’t you touch it and see for yourself?” He brought his head level with Jacob, who hesitated.
“Touch it, dude!” Mr. Obama said.
As Jacob, who was 5, patted the presidential crown, Mr. Souza snapped.
“So, what do you think?” Mr. Obama asked.

Thanks to my wife for always being there to take care of me when I’m sick. Sometimes, eventho I’m sick it actually feels GOOD to be sick just being able to whine like a kid and get taken care of.

I saw a photo and a girl with her body that said something like if a size two is beautiful, then a size twenty-two must be glorious. It’s a great thing that she has confidence in her own body. It really is, not a lot of girls can achieve that. Even older woman have body image issues. But then I saw comments reblogged and posted that said a size twenty-two is not “glorious” it’s sickening or unhealthy and such. And some would say there’s a distinction between curves and rolls of fat - then saying “get it right.”
To be honest, I think anyone can be what they want to be as long as they’re content with it. We’re not going to be content of our bodies every second of our life but as long as you’re generally okay with it, then who cares? Like why does that person’s confidence bother you so much that you have to point out “a size twenty-two is unhealthy”. I think weight only really becomes a problem when you have serious health issues. Like, I’m considered supposedly chubby on the weight scale but my doctor did not mention anything about me being unhealthy. And second, people have other health related issues. I’m heavier than my Spanish teacher - she’s skinny but she eats junk food like crazy and her doctor told her to cut it down. Like, if you really think about it, some chubbier girl can have a condition/event in her life that makes/causes her to be chubby. It’s not really fair to say just because someone’s bigger, then they’re automatically more unhealthy.
And who are you to say their size is unhealthy. The people who comment and reblog - to some extent, you guys are … well a factor to why people go anorexic or bulimic or excessive dieting/exercising. Who are you to think that you know how to distinguish between curves and fat rolls. Who are you to think that you know what’s best for someone. We all come in shapes and sizes. Do you guys honestly have to say something like that? Do you ever really know how a person feels when they’re called fat or ugly or anorexic? The picture you reblogged and commented on, that original source/girl is going to see it. Did you ever really think how it could make her feel?
Either way, every girl is beautiful. You can say I’m better because I have boobs and curves and a butt or you can say I’m better because I have a flat stomach and I’m skinny but we’re all the same. We’re all beautiful to be honest. It’s really character that counts as cliche as it sounds… because as someone once said, looks won’t really matter as much when we get older. To be honest, it’s really inevitable to judge others based on their appearance - I do it too. But I’m working on it because I don’t want to hurt others feelings. You have a right to post what you want to say but when people don’t think about what they say, it can end up being really hurtful and can even cause damage.
